Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

BotBoys LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the DumpsterBot Discord bot, the web dashboard at dumpsterbot.app, and related services (collectively, the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use the Service.

By using the Service, you consent to the data practices described in this policy. See also our Terms of Service.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Discord Data

• User IDs: Discord user identifiers for users who invoke commands or sign in to the dashboard.
• Server (Guild) IDs: Identifiers for Discord servers where the bot is installed.
• Channel Names and IDs: Names and identifiers of channels where purges are run.
• Message Metadata: For each message considered by a /purge command we read the message ID, author ID, timestamp, content, and attachment metadata at the moment of the purge in order to apply filters. This data is not persisted in our database except as described below.

2.2 Purge Log

• Who and When: The invoking user, channel, server, and timestamp of every purge.
• Filters Used: The filter parameters supplied (user, role, content keyword, time range, attachment type).
• Counts: The number of messages matched and deleted.

2.3 Undo Cache

We temporarily cache the message content and metadata of deleted messages for 15 minutes after a purge to enable /undo-purge. After 15 minutes the cache is permanently deleted. The cache is encrypted at rest. This applies to every server regardless of credit balance.

2.4 Dashboard and Account Data

• Authentication Data: Session tokens and authentication cookies (via NextAuth).
• Billing Data: Payment-related information is processed through Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers. For each credit-pack purchase we record the guild ID, the pack purchased, the number of credits granted, and the timestamp.
• Credit Balance: We store each server's current credit balance, the history of top-ups, and per-purge credit deductions for receipts and refund handling.

3. How We Use Your Data

• Executing Purges: Reading messages to apply filters and call Discord's bulk-delete API.
• Audit Logging: Posting purge confirmations to your configured audit-log channel and storing them in the purge log.
• Undo Support: Caching deleted message content for 15 minutes so that /undo-purge can restore them.
• Dashboard Display: Showing purge history, credit balance, server settings, and analytics.
• Billing: Processing one-time credit-pack purchases through Stripe and reconciling them with each server's credit balance.

4. Data Storage and Security

• Database: Data is stored in PostgreSQL hosted on Supabase, with encryption at rest enabled.
• Undo Cache Encryption: Cached message content for the undo window is encrypted using AES-256-GCM.
• Transport Security: All data in transit is encrypted using TLS/HTTPS.

5. Data Retention

• Purge log: Retained for 90 days by default. Server administrators can configure a retention between 7 and 365 days, or request full deletion via support.
• Undo cache: Automatically deleted 15 minutes after each purge.
• Account data: Retained while the bot is installed. Removed within 30 days of bot removal.

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information. We share data only with the infrastructure providers listed above and as required by law.

8. Your Rights and Controls

• Data deletion: Email us at support@dumpsterbot.app to request deletion of your purge log or account data.
• Bot removal: Removing the bot from a Discord server stops all data collection for that server.

9. GDPR and Data Protection Rights

If you are located in the EEA, UK, or another jurisdiction with applicable data protection laws, you have the rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing of, port, and object to processing of your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@dumpsterbot.app.

10. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed at children under 13. In accordance with Discord's Terms of Service, users must meet the minimum age requirement to use Discord.
