Terms of Service

Last updated: May 27, 2026

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using DumpsterBot (the “Service”), operated by BotBoys LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”), including the Discord bot, the web dashboard at dumpsterbot.app, and any associated APIs, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and BotBoys LLC. We may update these Terms from time to time, and your continued use of the Service following any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Description of Service

DumpsterBot is a Discord bot that bulk-deletes messages from text channels using advanced filters. The Service includes, but is not limited to:

  • Bulk Purges: Deleting messages with filters by user, role, content match, time range, or attachment type.
  • Undo Support: Restoring the most recent purge within a 15-minute window.
  • Scheduled Purges: Automated recurring purges on a configurable schedule.
  • Audit Logging: Posting purge confirmations and summaries to a designated channel.
  • CSV Export: Delivering a CSV of the purge log via DM.
  • Web Dashboard: A browser-based interface for managing settings, viewing purge history, and topping up credits.

3. Eligibility and User Accounts

To use DumpsterBot, you must have a valid Discord account and comply with Discord's own Terms of Service and Community Guidelines. Certain features of the Service require that you hold Administrator or Manage Messages permissions within the Discord server where the bot is installed.

By adding the bot to a Discord server, you represent that you have the authority to do so and that you accept these Terms on behalf of that server's community.

4. User Responsibilities

As a user of the Service, you agree to:

  • Use the Service only for legitimate moderation purposes and in compliance with all applicable laws.
  • Ensure that you have appropriate permissions before running destructive commands like /purge.
  • Not attempt to abuse, exploit, reverse-engineer, or interfere with the Service.
  • Not use the Service to delete evidence in active legal matters, or to suppress speech in violation of platform rules or applicable law.
  • Acknowledge that deletions are permanent (except within the 15-minute undo window) and that you are responsible for reviewing filters before confirming a purge.

5. Data Handling

DumpsterBot temporarily reads Discord messages in the channel where /purge is invoked in order to apply filters and execute deletions. We store metadata about each purge (who ran it, when, how many messages, which filters) in a purge log for auditing. To support /undo-purge we cache message content for 15 minutes after a purge, then permanently delete it. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

6. Credits and Billing

DumpsterBot operates on a prepaid credit model. Every Discord server receives a one-time grant of 2,000 free credits when the bot is first added. One (1) credit is consumed per successfully deleted message. There are no subscriptions, no monthly fees, and no recurring charges.

Servers can top up their balance by purchasing one of the credit packs ($5 for 10,000 credits, $15 for 50,000 credits, or $40 for 250,000 credits) through Stripe. Each purchase is a one-time transaction.

  • Credits do not expire. Unused credits remain on the server's account indefinitely.
  • Refunds. Unused credits are refundable within 30 days of purchase upon request to support@dumpsterbot.app. Credits that have already been consumed are non-refundable.
  • Auto top-up. If a server admin enables auto top-up, we will charge the saved payment method for one Starter pack ($5 / 10,000 credits) whenever the balance falls below 500 credits. Auto top-up can be disabled at any time from the dashboard.
  • We may change pack pricing with at least 30 days' notice. Previously purchased credits are unaffected.
  • Failed charges or chargebacks may result in suspension of service until resolved.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, BotBoys LLC and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data resulting from intentional deletion via the Service.

In no event shall our total aggregate liability exceed the amount you have paid to us for the Service during the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or one hundred US dollars ($100), whichever is greater.

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind. Deletions are intentional and permanent — you accept that risk by running a purge.

8. Termination

You may terminate your use of the Service at any time by removing DumpsterBot from your Discord server. Removal does not automatically refund unused credits — see Section 6 for refund terms. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access at any time for violation of these Terms.
